Who We Are
Founded in 2025, Core Reading Center was born from a passion for closing the reading
gap and a deep commitment to equity. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to
providing free, high-quality, personalized reading instruction to improve reading proficiency within our community. We focus on supporting children who struggle with basic reading skills by offering free tutoring, access to reading resources, and engaging programs that not only build reading abilities but also ignite a love for reading – empowering students to become confident, lifelong learners. From after-school tutoring sessions to summer reading camps, we meet children where they are and help them take the next step in their reading journey.
What We Do
At Core Reading Center, we aim to build not only essential reading skills but also the confidence needed for academic success and a lifelong love of learning. To achieve this, we offer a variety of programs:
- Individual and Small Group Reading Instruction:
Personalized attention designed to provide each student with the support they need to strengthen their reading skills. - Summer Reading Camps:
Engaging, skill-building activities designed to prevent summer learning loss while enhancing reading abilities. - Community Literacy Nights:
