At Core Reading Center, we believe that every child deserves the chance to read with confidence – regardless of their background or zip code. Reading isn’t just another academic skill; it’s the key that unlocks every subject, every opportunity, and every future.
Yet across the country—and right here in our community—too many children are falling behind. In fact, more than 60% of fourth-grade students are not reading at grade level. Without early intervention, these students are at higher risk for academic struggles, disengagement, and long-term challenges that follow them into adulthood.
The Power of Early Support
That’s where we come in. Core Reading Center was founded to bridge the gap – providing free, high-quality reading instruction to the students who need it most. Our programs are grounded in research-based practices and delivered by passionate educators who understand how to meet each child where they are.
We offer:
- Personalized tutoring (1:1 and small group)
- Summer reading camps
- Community literacy nights
- Family engagement events
Our goal is simple: to help children become confident, lifelong readers—and to ensure no child is left behind because their family couldn’t afford extra help.
